Hopefully Freo can make it 6-0 or whatever it is this weekend!
I think we have a lot of footy threads actually?

ditto - this was like watching a derby circa 1997... do the Dockers remember how to mark a ball in the pack?

Yeah, Congrats to Freo and their fans. They played well and deserved the win. Eagles played really well considering the rain factor. Once again though, accuracy in front of goals is starting to plague them. I mean, to kick 16 behinds in a match I think is pretty bad. But, we still had a good win and are at the top of the ladder where on current form I believe we deserve to be. All the best for Freo against Adelaide. Hope you guys beat them. Eagles have Mick Jelenic's team, Richmond ;D Will have to email him if the Eagles win ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) haha, only joking. Here's hoping for a all WA Grand Final. It has to happen at some time doesn't it?

interesting re Mick Jelenic..."yellow and black...in tigerland..."
one of the reasons the eagles gets so many behinds is because so many get rushed by the losing opposition team...but that miss by lynch on the weekend was a shocker...I get to see a lot of the eagles as my fanatical wife replays video of eagles game several times a week.
If we can beat adelaide (we get Johnson back this week) and win the game after that, we'd be 3-3 and the Wizard Jeffrey back, and the finals looking more likely again...
a DERBY grand final has to be a strong possibility after just failing last year due to us losing to sydney....

Well we really proved we've got what it takes to win tough games today...
As for Mr Wizard, I wish he'd grow up, he's got what it takes to be a true champion, but he miss directs his aggression... I think the board did the right thing, not like some other football team who shall remain nameless at this time...

nailbiting stuff, and an awesome job by Webster and the 3 goals from late inclusion Cookie were pretty good too...perfect way to celebrate Maccas 200th and Hazes 150th...
very sad about the wizards demise we could really have used him, but I guess the team comes first, and if the code of conduct is broken then there has to be consequences and its better than trying to sweep it under the carpet and 25 last chances like the other mob...although looks like they might finally be taking it seriously...Judd,worsfold,gooding seem to have got the message...but have the rest?...now the eagles are on their last chance with the afl , or there will be loss of premiership points/fines/loss of draft picks...i wonder if the afl will give the eagles as many last chances as they gave their players...
as was said about BBB is now being said about the wizard "hes not the messaih, hes just a very naughty boy!" I hope he gets back on track, we could use a good crumbing small forward, in the meantime I guess we can hope that Browne,Mourish,Collard or someone else can start to grow into that role, after all even if the Wizard doesnt self-destruct, he probably only has 2-5 of his best years left anyway, so its time to start grooming an understudy/replacement anyway...just as Warnock is starting to learn the backup ruckman role as Longmire is always injured... that said I hope we see Jeffrey accepting his AFL premiership medallion this year...
big tough game at the gabba next weekend..win that one and we r probably back in the top 8, so heres hoping...

nice to finally get the 4 points. another important win and the next three games against geelong, saints and magpies are big games. If we win all three top 4 hopes are back on the agenda, win 2 and we are back in the 8 I think, win 1 and we are on the slide again, win none, and its getting desperate again. Go Dockers!!!
I tipped against the eagles for the second time this year (other one was the derby of course), and I got it right, with the Cats giving me a tip there...

Yeah, congrats to Freo!! Spewin eagles lost but it was gonna happen at some stage and it should give the eagles motivation to improve. playing geelong away is a hard task although our comeback last year against the cats(50+ points down in 3rd quater) was one of the best in history i reckon.

well Kennett and the rest are a happy team at hawthorn, and the eagles have fallen to the Launceston curse, but I guess in the general scheme of things its just a blip on the radar for now. how sweet was the Freo thrashing of the saints last night! Hip hip Hooray, much better I thought. great to see Collard getting a run, he was brilliant (and kicked a goal) at times in his debut game. Could be a major snapshot of the future there....I thought Peake added something we have been missing for weeks; genuine pace combined with using the ball well... One down, and a good slab of percentage, knock off the pies next week and finals action in september is looking a lot more likely again, but I we need to win 8 from 12 after that if we can beat the pies first to ensure finals action. (13 wins) Top 4 is looking tough, but the closeness of the table at the moment means we may still be able to get there...we'd probably need to win at least 11 of the last 13 i think to be a good chance of a top 4 spot. (15 wins) Dockers ready to start their charge towards september; www.dockerland.com/NewsPub/News/Stories/2007/05/26/11801149972.html
