Congrats to the Dockers. How's that, the Eagles win the Dockers home game earlier on and now the Dockers win the Eagles home game. Josh Carr played a good game? In all the highlights he seemed like a bulldog trying to get in fights. I didn't get to see the game because we were recording. Sorry if all the Dockers fans don't agree but all good and well that Josh Carr played well but in my opinion he was dirty as hell shoving Ben all the time!!

yeah interesting that we managed to spoil the party for each others home game... most of your mob (my dad and wife for example) probably agree with u re the glendinning medallist giving benny some maybe over the top treatment on afew occasions, but as someone said on dockerland...benny has a history of running away from Carrs...and that was only part of his game, a lot of very good highlights from him, not just the good hard physical bumps and hard tackles...basically if its within the rules its not dirty even if its more physical than usual IMO.... Jeffrey took a screamer and kicked 3 goals (could have been 6), plus played well, he wished benny and wirrapunda all the best on the ground after the game... its mathematically possible for Freo to finish 2nd and eagles 11th .... yeah, dispite my disliking for Freo Dockers, I don't believe Josh Carr should of been booed when he got his medal. But, thats football I guess. Professional footballers expect to get booed by the opposition, thats apart of their "job". I still reckon Josh Carr might of gone a bit over the top(didn't see the game, only highlights) but he has always been a tough, physical player and if he was a West Cost Eagle I would be chearing him on so I ain't gonna get all upset over it. At the end of the day, Freo played better in the Derby and deserved the win. Congrats to them

lol, I'm just happy to see Essendon pwned. I note also that the Eagles scored a good victory against the Kangas today, making them equal 2nd place with like 4 other teams, lol.

too busy celebrating and posting on dockerland.com plus checking various finals configurations on afl.allthestats.com/misc/ladderpredict.php while holding and sometimes sticking a baby bottle into the mouth of our baby. what an awesome demolition of the dons...finals 3rd to 8th looking very possible now, we can actually make the finals with 11 wins now, which means a loss is not an automatic finals exit for us anymore, although beating saints, melbourne and port is still what we need! eagles better not slip up too much, if they lost their last 3 they could still miss the finals. glad they took care of the kangas though for many reasons one of which is that my wife has a video to watch this week (not much lately)... the finals have come early... www.dockerland.com/NewsPub/News/Stories/2007/08/12/11869147561.htmlinteresting quote is as follows; "Over a quarter of a century ago, a young Mark Harvey would have been down at his local milkbar in his ugboots, his best flanny tied around his tight jeans, his mullet flapping in the breeze of the deep fryer exhaust fan, a Chico Roll in one hand and the joystick to Donkey Kong in the other. Meanwhile, Kevin Sheedy was unblocking toilets by day and putting out witch’s hats at nights after being give the reigns of a local Victorian football club going by the name of Essendon. "

depressing...so now we have to win our last two and hope about 6 or 7 other games go the way we hope, to allow us to sneak into finals...realistically its probably unlikely but its still very much possible. the other mob have now made sure they will be there in september.
In other news Fremantle may play carlton in J-burg South Africa pre-season game next year, and the other mob plan to train in Natal.

^^^^ ;D Another pre-season load of crap if you ask me. ;D Why do people actually think the pre-season has anything to do with the real season. I kind of remember discussing this at the same time last year. Freo beat the Eagles in pre-season last year, how did they finish the actual season last year. Oh thats right, out of the finals.....again.haha. Of course Freo were going to win, they had 20 of their 22 whereas Eagles only had 14 plus few rookies. Mark Johnson doesn't count as a "first gamer" for Freo because he's been in a premiership and all. Carlton won the pre-season a few years back and got the wooden spoon in regular season. The derby seems to mean alot more to Freo, I think because the Eagles look at the bigger picture like a premiership rather than getting all focussed on one game.lol

Eh, the Eagles just gave Freo a win so they wouldn't spent the whole season crying.

"It's only the pre-season" the Eagles Fans say, but don't you know the AFL is offering a $1,000,000 bonus for a team that can win both the pre-season and home and away season in the one year. So I wouldn't rate the pre-season as unimportant.

^^^ Yeah, it is only the pre-season. Thats not just the "Eagles fans" view, thats the view of the Eagles coaching staff. Thats all I'm implying, to the Eagles the pre-season competition is only about letting the young blokes get a run as experience. Where did Freo beat us yesterday? The midfield. We didn't have Cox, Kerr, Embley, Stenglein, Braun, Hunter amongst many more of our better experienced players who run through the midfield. Did anyone read the paper today? Its obvious to everyone that the Eagles fielded an undermanned team and didn't take the preseason seriously. John Worsfold has said it time and time again, but still the Dockers fans go on about winning against us in the pre-season. As for that money bonus, I don't think that would matter to the Eagles seeing as they have turned over million dollar profit after million dollar profit year after year. Just because money is involved doesn't make it important in my opinion. Obviously Freo and their fans rate the pre-season more important but its not like its helped them in the regular season as far as I've seen over the years ;D Oh yeah, gotta love this cross town rivalry hey.haha. The Dockers do play well against the Eagles, I ain't taking that away from them, but as far as I'm concerned I still see the Eagles as a better team. The onfield success over the years proves that. I'm not just saying that because I'm a Eagles fan, and Freo are a great team but the Eagles have done better overall on the field over the seasons. Sorry if that ruffles the feathers of the Dockers fans here but I'm just stating fact ;D
