Ive been using the Zdoom source port for playing Doom 2 on my PC, and honestly I enjoy it more than the original doom. Mostly because I can set the controls up to function like a modern FPS.

Same here. I've been playing Doom 2 using the zDoom program. Great way to pass time. Heh, I kinda like playing with the nightmare difficulty and setting god mode on and then just seeing how many kills I can get before I get bored of it 3000 is the limit to my concentration.

well in all honesty I have never beaten Doom 2. I mean i could always cheat my way through it, but with games like Doom and Wolfenstein I enjoy beating it first on its standard difficulty.

Heretic was good fun. Did you ever play Blood? I'm still looking for another copy of that.

I have Blood but admitedly I havent played it much. I found it at a Goodwill store for $5 which wasnt too bad a price, but I always died when trying to use the dynamite as a weapon. Heretic on the other hand is a great game, If I can ever obtain a legal copy of it I'll probably run it through Zdoom as well.
