After several listens, though it is enjoyable on a musical aspect, it's really hard to get into lyrically due to the story being one big pile of crap, from my perspective that is. I guess i just don't understand why people put more faith in a man who has never been 100% right all of the time than they do in God whose is right 100% of the time.
Vocally, well, Rob sounds like he's forcing himself to sing quite a lot of parts on this album, it just doesn't sound natural.

I don't think JP actually believe Nostradamus was a prophet or anything, they are more interested in the legend of Nostradamus rather than the actual man himself. Besides, JP lyrics have never been particularly deep and meaningful (Jugulator, anyone?) so I don't actually mind the lyrics of Nostradamus that much.

okay after listening to this album a few times i have come to this.......
I like Turbo more than I liked hearing this painfully long "concept" album.
First off, Rob's vocals sound forced throughout the entire album, it's like his heart isn't in singing anything but more or less like he's trying to be in a play. This is what makes concept albums awful. Thank you Priest for making a record that makes Turbo sound like British Steel.
Musically, it's got its moments where it is way to busy for, what seems to be, the sake of being busy or even "progressive". Again, I thank Priest for "challenging themselves" but it stopped there and became a "concept play" and no longer an album. And what's with all of the musical interludes, they really do not serve a purpose when there is nothing going on in them worth listening to...these interludes makes listening to Turbo that much easier for me now.
Lyrically, the story bores me to tears because i hate the fact that we revere people so much for being who they were now that they're dead....Does anyone know when there will be a Judas Priest George Carlin concept album, how about a Buster Keaton album or even a *gasp* Pope John Paul the II album?
Oh well what do i know, I'm just an idiot with a strong viewpoint anyhow.

Your viewpoint is vaid Todd - I just don't agree! I became a Judas Priest fan in 97 whe I got Jugulator. I'm enjoying this more than any single Judas Priest album I've bought since then. I even ordered the triple vinyl version.
The views on this vary wildly on the internet. For every person like me proclaiming a masterpiece, there's another view that it sucks bigtime. All good, and all valid.

As for the interludes "Shadows In The Flame" is one of my favourite Priest moments now.

[sarcasm] I'm holding out for the Kurt Cobain concept album myself [/sarcasm]

Maybe Grave Forsaken could do the Kurt Cobain concept?
