Had our first church service since we arrived and it was good to catch up with people in our small church family again. Met a couple of new people.
1. Loving the fact that youtube here loads faster than it plays!
2. Not liking the fact that it is dark by 5pm, we are on the same timezone as Perth's DST and when we left Perth it wasn't dark until well after 8pm.
3. The weather is a bit cold (16C), but not unbearably so, but very overcast at the at the moment. Expecting sunny and 20C on this Thursday so that won't so bad, but I know that we be heading to winter so it will be a lot colder in the months to come.
4. The autumn colour change is just starting, it might be a week or two before it's at it's most spectacular stage, so hopefully I can get some good shots of it.
5. We sold/gave away so much stuff when we left Perth, and already people here have given us a lot including a fridge! So we almost have everything we need for our house here except a washing machine.
6. The one thing I'm missing is a for my photo/video work is tripod, because I left both of mine at my parents house, because I just couldn't fit one in the bag this time... If anyone is coming up it would be nice if you could grab my Giotto Tripod (the lightest one) from my parents if you have the suitcase space, I can't really afford to buy one here at the moment and it will probably be too expensive to send it by post!

Just letting you know that we are still without Internet Access to our house. It takes ages to get the Internet on for the first time here. I had to go through a big ID check just to get an Internet Cafe membership. Authorities getting very paraniod about Internet Crime here.
Heaps of news and photos to post, but they'll have to wait until I have my own access. I'm not using expensive Internet Cafe time on Posting Photos.

The Japanese mapples are spectacular at the moment, reds, oranges and yellows. Most of the other trees have already lost all their leaves.
Weather is rainy today, but not too cold about 14C. Tomorrow it will get fine but cold (max 4 min -4 forcast) looks like cold weather for the next few days. Real winter has come at last!
Still waiting for the internet connection and land line. Though we now have a Keitai Denwa (Mobile/Cell Phone).
Miss you all, please drop a comment and keep this board alive.
P.S. God is good and I will try to send out a big update about what he is doing here when I can borrow a friends internet for a while or we get ours.
P.P.S just got an email from a friend from Carey Baptist (my church in Perth), that he's in Kyoto now (staying about 12mins train trip away from us) so hopefully I can catchup.

Good news is that we are going to get the internet connected to our house soon, no fixed date yet but we got a snail mail from the provider saying they'll be calling us soon.

Our internet and landline coming on the 13th of January... Can't wait...
Please pray for our finances, we haven't made any money here yet and our various investments/business interests in Australia have not given us any return too... So basically we are eating up savings and the exchange rate is not so great at the moment although better than when we arrived.
