Priest albums you ought to definitely buy Sin After Sin Sad Wings Of Destiny Angel Of Retribution Metalogy (if you don't want to buy full albums, get the boxed set.....it comes with a snazzy DVD ooooooooo)
KISS albums you ought to definitely buy Rock and Roll over Dressed To Kill Love Gun Revenge double platnium (if you don't want to waste your money buying all of the others....DP has all the best tracks form each of those albums)

I'm holding out for Defenders of the Faith. I totally love Screaming for Vengeance, so I figure its follow-up can't be half bad.

myself, I didn;t care much for Defenders (even now it is among my least favorite Priest albums), my Priest top 5 for purchase would be British Steel Screaming for vengeance Sin After Sin Sad Wings Of Destiny Painkiller
that pretty much spans their career and you don't have to hear 'turbo', which at the time was a very commercial album, it's also ranked as the worst Priest album ever by most fans.

Heh thats funny coz I didn't really like British Steel that much at all compared to their other stuff. I mean, its not bad by any means, but I thought it was quite weak compared to say Screaming for Vengeance or Painkiller. I actually only picked it up because I saw it cheap and also because one of my goals in life is to one day own everything with the name 'Judas Priest' on it.

Awesome name, I'm like that with Iron Maiden.
British Steel is a classic album, just like Number of the Beast. Its not their best, but its a good taste of the band

Yeeeee my vengeance rising cds arrived. INCREDIBLE thrash albums (Human Sacrifice is my favourite), ruined by the awful vocals of Roger Martinez. Still, other than that they are fantastic, definately still worth the buy. Actually with a better vocalist (I think Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy would work perfectly) these would probably be my favourite albums of all time.

Rogers vocals are great, they are almost deathy at some points. I got in the mail today my very own copy of Tophet by Frost Like Ashes

The high pitched shrieking is AWESOME!!! How can you not like them? I suppose you don't like Cradle of Filth either? Today in the mail I received my copy of Karrionic Hacktician by Vomitorial Corpulence. Nothing like a good bit of grindcore for the soul

I don't know, it just grates on my nerves, and really to me it just sounds like some random off the street who heard some death metal onces and decided to give it a go. I suppose you like Kurt Bachman of Believer as well then?

pfft, reprobates But more important, today I chuffled down to Koorong and purchased (at grossly inflated prices, of course): Stryper - 7 Weeks Live in America By now you should all be well acquainted with my wanton Stryper lust so I don't really need to say much about this one. Though I will say, its nice to see that Mikey's voice hasn't lost any of its glass-shattery potential with age. Listening to Reborn I thought he might have lost the ability to hit those high notes but listening to this live album has shown conclusively that he was just holding back. Extol - Undeceived I was a bit dissapointed with Extol's latest 2 efforts, but I heard that their older stuff is better so I thought 'what the heck' and bought it. My first thoughts - THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! WHY DIDN'T I BUY THIS SOONER!!! Plus, I have decided that I'm never going to Koorong again. The stryper CD alone cost me $35, yet I have just worked out that ordering both those CDs from CDconnection.com (including postage) would have cost me $35.30...

Hahaha, nice. Koorong is very expensive, but it is one of the few places to buy christian metal in perth.
I haven't tried the WORD bookstore though.

I understand Word is even worse - they focus mostly on Theological books (Bible College stuff), and have a shocking music collection in general. I guess it couldn't hurt to go have a look though.

I went into the city today with a friend and made the mandatory trip into JB Hi-Fi. I wasn't actually planning to buy anything until I came across (in one of those ray of light from heaven with the heavenly choir in the background type moments)
Stryper - To hell with the devil Stryper - Soldiers Under Command.
And for $20 each!! I was very happy! Had there not been people around I would have done my Very Happy Dance (TM). Now I just need Yellow & Black Attack and In God We Trust and my collection is complete!! Although I'm also looking on Ebay to see if I can get one of those black and yellow striped Bibles they threw into their audiences back in the day...
