pink floyd = bad acid trip.
have any of you seen the wall? (oddly) my mother owns the video. I once watched it lying on my back on the floor looking back up at the tv - you know what? It almost made more sense.

![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) that's blasphemy Pink Floyd is AWESOME. One of the best bands in history. I watched the The Wall DVD, it's ok. It's extremely psychedelic. But it's about their music. The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, The Division Bell, all awesome albums.

I liked PF's earlier stuff like Meddle and Relics, Darkside of the Moon I didn't like though, I think they've gone downhill.
But seriously, Hardcore scene is Hilarious!
I get to see Sinai Beach, maybe I'll "throw-down" to that, hra. ;D

pink floyd - it was very in, when I was in H.S. The whole return to the '60's drop acid, smoke pot and listen to floyd man... ugh!
The only song by them even today that I won't channel check is Learn to Fly.
There is this little chinese restaurant by my house and on the weekends people do keroke there and they have a guy who is a regular. Everytime he gets up to sing it's a pink floyd song, suprisingly he makes it very entertaining what he lacks in vocals (not much) he makes up for in presentation - this guy is constantly either doing breakdancing moves or flopping around like a fish out of water or any number of acrobatics while singing and not missing a beat. The best part? The dude is close to 50.

Sorry Vinobabe, But Pink Floyd is THE band, one of my favorites, and where I started out with listening to music. It still gets constant rotation in my headphones, and I have seen parts of The Wall, and own three of the four albums jesusmetal mentioned (I've heard I Wish You Were Here is good, but can't find it at the store...though I need to pick up that other one...with the slaughterhouse on the cover...that is, if it's recommended by anyone who's heard it)...two on vinyl, one on tape, two on CD (there's copies) I also went to the Australian Pink Floyd Show w/ my dad when it came through St. Louis the first time-I'm too young to have seen them actually tour.

You'd love the truck driver I had in here earlier today - Floyd Dark side of the moon shirt -and a floyd hat. I saw him come in and I just went... man - where is my camera.
total hippie too. funny.
Treat - if you like them you like them - what can I say? Heck - I've got every album from Bon Jovi and Garth Brooks. (odd combo) and they are both in constant rotation on the MP3 player.

What is wrong with Country? I kinda have to be in the mood for it - but there are some songs that are very very good.

I have absolutely no respect for PF, to me their albums should go out of print and stay that way. Why? I'm so glad I asked myself..I was in a place when I was 16 years old, with about 35 other kids my age (boys and girls) all they ever wanted ot listen to was Floyd, I grew to hate floyd and despise everything they stood for....to this day I will not allow PF to be played in my house or in any car I am in.people know I will hit them if they choose to force the floyd on ears that they know...............hate and loathe floyd.

you get your wife back, your dog back, your car back...

"And the precious silence before you started playing country music."
ha ha and ha.
I was listening to Alan Jackson this morning. Have to be in the right mood for it, but it's good. There is meaning, and it's easy to understand what they are singing.

...you didn't really explain your hatred, Todd. Was it only cause everyone was doing it and you wanted to be a rebel and so built your hatred complex? What is the reason? Or was it cause they only liked that one band? I myself started out liking only Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons project...and look where I am now!

Toddly - I think i vaguely remember you not being into Floyd - although I don't think knew the reason.
I guess that means you can ride in a car with me - cause it's a no Floyd zone.
and yes - pop rock with an accent.. ha ha! Poprocks! mmmm poprocks are good - me like poprocks.
