though this one is not about theistic evolution it is science showing how evolution can be debunked.....by using science and the two laws of thermodynamics. www.newgeology.us/presentation32.html

My favorite one liner concerning evolution:
If evolution is true the we should find fossils not only of cats and dogs, but of dats and cogs as well.
Evolution is so full of holes that it takes more faith to believe in it than to believe in GOD imo.

indeed it does, plus, if it is such a fact why is it still called a theory? hrmmmmmmmmmm LOL

I heard a guy on the radio the other day (JJJ 99.3 in Perth); he was a kid calling in to ask a scientist (pop-theory media-personality whiz, some of you may know him as Dr. Karl) if there was any proof of evolution. Specifically, he asked if genetic mutation (into a new species) has been observed. This guy responded by saying that evolution can be observed at work everywhere (albeit working V E R Y S L O W L Y ), and proof of its occurrence in humans is that some people are lactose-intolerant while others have a tolerance for lactose. He went further to say that within a few thousand years all humans would be tolerant of lactose.
According to the "survival of the fittest" idea which is what appears to be the driving force behind evolution, are we to expect that all people who don't drink milk are going to die? Or perhaps that lactose-tolerant people will kill and eat those who are not invulnerable to lactose? Perhaps a new species of cow with super-lactose milk will be the end of those pathetic allergic humans.
I'm waiting for the day when those who believe in ridiculous theories all die as a result of their brains becoming too closed-minded to function. Sadly it appears that idiots continue to breed in large numbers.
Poor kid was obviously trying to explore an alternative to evolutionary theory... now shut down by Mr. Celebrity Know-it-all, he suffers doubt about his former convictions, which were probably a good deal more intelligent than those of his charming respondent.

An example of natural selection in action that was given to me by one of my uni lecturers (straight out of the textbook) was, wait for it, sickle-cell anaemia. Why? Because SCA makes people immune to malaria, and the death-rate from SCA is slightly less than the death-rate from malaria, therefore there was a higher concentration of people with SCA in malaria plagued countries. WOW! What irrefutable proof! I'm honestly surprised that anyone can still believe in God in the face of such powerful evidence!!

Ummm, well that is natural selection at work, yes. Evolution? No. Natural selection? Yes.

evolution = the natural process of eliminating a species/group of living things in order to produce a more 'efficient drone like model' able to do the most mundane tasks with the least amount of thought.
hrm so that's possibly where 80% of our scientists have come from.......if such a truth existed. LOL
I look at it this way, if evolution is progress [change for the better], then look at the world in general today [it's worse now than it was even 100 years ago i think. intelligence is dropping at an alarming rate].............yeah, what's that you see? I'll tell you......it's zero tolerance for common sense and the people that have it..........are mostly evolutionists........looks like they'll be the first to be selected to die then LOL.

www.googlesyndicatedsearch.com/u/creationontheweb?q=theistic+evolution&hl=en&lr=for excellent material debunking this horrible heresy. hey ToddB, I think the thermodynamics argument has been debunked. From memory the Creationist scientists are telling people not to use that argument. i know Dr Jonathan sarfarti has put out a book and dvd detailing arguments we shouldn't use- its good stuff. Werner Git's book is a great read. 'Refuting Compromise' by Dr Sarfarti is brilliant- totally smashes 'progressive creationism' etc. This problem really is very simple- God's word vs man's word.....hhmmmmm..hard choice. I still can't get over how blind some people are and have become- i guess I shouldn't be, the bible does say these things will happen as we count down to the end.

I've still got a couple of old Answers in Genesis books, and as far as I know they still haven't been debunked.
I reread one the otherday, and it was the first time I'd heard of a pre-flood water vapor canopy above the atmosphere. Has anyone heard of any recent research of writing on this? It appears to explain an awful to of "problems" that Creationists are faced with, and I was surprised that I hadn't heard of it before.

I've heard of that. It's actually regarding a layer of ice which enclosed the atmosphere and effectively pressurised the earth to twice the atmosheric pressure we have today. Under such conditions growth and healing are greatly accelerated, while ageing is markedly slower (hence the ability of many in Genesis to live a long time...). Can't remember where I saw it, but I watched a video on the Net about this topic.

Hmm, the one I read was useing water vapor, which acted like a green house, and blocked a lot of UV light, which allowed vegitation to gorw massively, and humans to live for a long time.
