Nope, missed it. And since there isn't any ice hockey in the Summer Olympics, I don't care to watch

Yeah, the only thing that made me notice that the Olympics were even on was that Prisonbreak and Top Gear have been delayed for 2 weeks.

Isn't it just an over rated sports carnival?

well, I find it very unsettling to watch women with shoulders and biceps bigger than my own... yeah, when they start having the "Fatty" Olympics, which is just all fat people, I'll watch that....until then...I won't watch them at all.

and you call yourselves Australian.... What's so australian about people who get paid way too much money to run 100 metres? Or kick a ball? Or so on and so forth. The reason I don't watch the Olympics is because of what it's become. It used to be about competition and so on and so forth, but now it's become all political... And politics and sport should NOT go together.....

The Australians actually don't get paid too much. I remember during the Athens games they were saying that any one individual player on the American basketball team gets paid more than the entire Australian team combined.

which goes to show you how ridiculous the american sporting salaries actually are.....
irrespective of what the Oz lot get paid, they get paid a fair amount to basically run/swim/etc.
Neanderthal man never got paid to do that kind of thing. He was just trying to avoid being eaten, so why make a sport of it?

There is a slight difference in skill level between Neanderthal and an Olympian...
They are paid for their skill... well except for the Americans anyway. They are entertainers, and no different to musicians or actors.
