I'm in the early stages of planning a Back to Bicton gig. Bicton Uniting CHurch was where my first band Sanctified started way back in 1996. It's also where Tim recorded drums for Beside The River Of Blood.
I've been in touch with the pastor there and he seems keen to have Grave Forsaken play a show there. I'm going to try and organise something for September. Stay tuned for more announcements - it will be great if we can return to a significant venue in Grave Forsaken history.

Why? No no, I meant the song ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) That sounds like fun. There are a few gigs early September already planned around the place, but not much late September yet.

From what i am led to believe Colin and Rachel are the only ones who go to bicton now. BTW you were known as Sanctification before you were known as Sanctified ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .

That's probably true Chris. Before Sanctification we were AntiDevil! Gee those were good days. Do you remember playing The Devil Won't Win at youth group that night back in 1994? That was the start of it all.
What did we have AntiDevil Mephibosheth (briefly) Sanctification Sanctified Katara
Good times indeed.

It'll be good to go back there and see a reminder of the early days. I'm looking forward to it.
Hey Vaughan, gimme a ring. I've been trying to get hold of you for ages!

Yes Vaughan i remember the days were good.Though where i am at now in my journey they would be ten times better ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . I must say out of all those names we did have my favourite i would say is Sanctified. That's the reason i mentioned it before, yes we were known by other names prior to that however at least in my opinion this was the first band name we ever did anything really official as in the lakeside gig in 1998 i think it was.

Most definitely. The Lakeside gig was a real highlight. I was real nervous that night. My lasting memory is Ben scatching the heck out of Peter O'Leary's bass guitar. He used a 50 cent coin as a pick.
All up I think we did about 15 gigs as Sanctified - not to mention the Live At Lakeside CD-R. The quality is low, but I've still got it sitting there.
Did you realise that Ben is now a Liberal Party politician? He is running for the seat of Vic Park in the WA state election. I hope he wins. If you ever get over here on holiday, the three of us should catch up.

Yeah i remember that incident, even though the two of you did not agree i still believe that was our career suicide. We found it almost impossible to get gigs after that unless we organized them ourselves.
I am on facebook and i have seen that Ben is on there from Richard W's page so given that we ended up not really being friends and that he is now a politician which i despise(especially the liberals ha ha) when i return to perth for a visit i would say a 3 way reunion is unlikely. However who knows with God anything is possible.

Ah dude, all water under the bridge. I bet if we got together it would be laughs all around.
I tell you, that bass incident was bad news. Peter never trusted us again, and he had a lot of influence on the scene. I still see Evan from Superfluity quite a bit, and we've discussed that night. It's something I wished had never happened.

Yes it is all water under the bridge so maybe. At this stage we are thinking about maybe coming back to perth for a visit for christmas 2009.

There won't be a September gig after all. We are looking good for October and November though.
