Well, today I'm working, tomorrow I get to spend the whole entire day at my grandparents house doing nothing, but then boxing day I get to go out with friends, then for the next 2 weeks after that we are having a 20% sale at Koorong which pretty much always the busiest time of year when everyone comes in to spend the gift cards they have been given as presents...also in the weeks leading up to Christmas the store gets incredibly busy and stressful as everyone does their Christmas shopping...so unfortunately except for boxing day Christmas is a pretty average time for me!!

Well, I hate commercial Christmas (you know the reason why Santa wears red and white? old Coca-cola advertisements) but I am always happy to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.
Between all the celebrations and fun (which some of you might be having), may we all remember the birth of our saviour and how he entered into this fallen world to save us fallen wretches, not because there is anything is us that is worth saving, but simply out of his love for us.

Here in Japan there was so much of a build up for a Christmas that doesn't exists. Every shop, had decorations and played even the most Christian Christmas songs (in English) that would have the most PC in the west complaining! This is in a country with less than 1% Christians! These Christmas decorations and music had been going on since mid November. But, come the 25th which is not a public holiday it all just disappeared, and up went the New Years decorations (base on Shinto beliefs).
So a more than a month of preparation, then no public holiday on the day, just another winters day? Well they sold a lot of Christmas cakes (sponge cakes here), chicken (I don't think they know about turkey here). May be some parents gave presents to their children, some people put lights up on their houses, all of the local governments decorated parts of their towns, shops decorated, played Christmas music, but few people understand the English songs, then on the 25th it was all cleaned up like nothing happened.
BTW the our church had a Christmas party where we explained about the true meaning of Christmas, we had quite a few visitors that day... And I donned a red suit!

All the best people do I've not seen a spammer use other names like that. It's often much more generic.... they're getting smarter!
