...are both playing at Youth Alive this year, August 31. I really, really (really really really) loved both of those bands before discovering real music a few years ago so myself and a few of my still-haven't-discovered-real-music-despite-my-best-efforts friends are gonna go see em. Plus its only $20 - total bargain. Usually I avoid youth alive like the plague (it and planetshakers just annoy me to no end, I hate metrosexuals), but I think for those 2 bands at such a good price I can't not go see them.
I'm thinking of going along in my Scrolls t-shirt just to scare people, lol.

Zooba... you are dead to that part of you now.
;D ;D That could be a cool gig. I'm going to see Lily Allen that night though

No shame in liking bands you started off.

I will. I'll need to bring earplugs though - not for Switchfoot and Pillar but for the Youth Alive band that will be playing first, lol.

hahaha my friends and I ordered our tickets over the phone with a credit card before I found out that we were gonna start selling them at Koorong. They should be $20...goodness knows Koorong has probably marked them up to $35. We have heaps left too btw if you want to get some.

I suppose you are already at work... don't suppose you'd be able to check and see if there are any left? Mum thought it might be a fun idea for me to go... and then I thought if I'm going to go, I shall bring Bernie, just to share around the pain.
Although the 31st does ring a bell for some reason...

hahaha, Bernie doesn't like Switchfoot or Pillar? Or were you referring to the pain of meeting me? Lol... I didn't check today but as of a few days ago we had stacks (and I mean stacks) and in the week or so I've been on register I haven't sold a single one so I'd say theres about a 99.99% chance of there still being at least 2 tickets remaining .

yeah she'd probably like switchfoot then. Not so sure about pillar though, they are a good deal heavier than Jars of Clay.

I looked them both up on YouTube, and I think I prefer Pillar to Switchfoot.

sick!!
Hey, I'll PM you my mobile number and make sure to keep it on me so you can give me a call at the show (or vice versa) and we can meet up. Alternatively, since the majority of the people there will be 13-14 year olds in Underoath t-shirts, just look for the really tall guy in the Scrolls of the Megilloth shirt and thats me :-)

YaY, I got a guys mobile number *ahem* heheh Anyway, I'll probably be wearing some metal shirt too. The tickets aren't for reserved seating or anything were they? Just first in best seated or something. So maybe we could meet up before the doors open and go in together.

well, if its anything like the death and desire show (which was in the same building) the back half of the area has chairs set up which are first come, first serve, but then the front half of the area is reserved for moshing. Though since the mosh-pit will be filled mostly with 13 year olds I don't think they'll let you into the pit, lol...
