Its ok to like those things too. There are too many people in the world Christians even who like to make people feel bad about what they like, its really sad to see Christians being elitists. I have encountered that so harshly on other Christian metal forums.

Yeah, I most a few of us know what you mean...
It can be done in just, or it can be nasty. The first is not a problem, as its often done in a way that is an obvious joke, and it can ligten a situation of build bonds. The other way though, can tear down that persons enjoyment of their favorite music, and even cause them to become disillusioned with Christians on the whole. Both results are ugly, and could easily have been avoided by understanding that everyone has different tastes, and they are allowed to. Unless we are talking about pop or rap, or not liking Messiah Prophet.

I cant help it, my heart beats in breakdowns, maybe I should visit my doctor Actually Ill be more into hardcore when it blows over again. I think the hardcore scene is a bit too oversaturated at the present time. Mine just keeps staggering something called "plastic soul impalement" and I have no idea why

My musical tastes are pretty varied. Love late 60s music (Beatles, Dylan, Zeppelin, The Band, Simon & Garfunkel, Staple Singers,Steeleye Span, Cream) which covers folk, rock and soul, along with jazz (Coltrane, Davis, modern artists like Kurt Elling or Harry Connick). Some 'alternative rock' Aussie music like John Butler Trio, Something for Kate, Powderfinger, early Alex Lloyd, The Waifs, The Cat Empire, Nick Cave -though most of these are pretty mainstream now! Funky stuff like Corduroy and early James Brown. I have always been a guitar fan, so have lots of genres covered -from Clapton to Malmsteen, Steve Vai to Dire Straits, John Lee Hooker to Phil Keaggy, Ben Harper to Neil Young. Oh yeah -I don't mind U2 . That may just be the understatement of the century! I also enjoy The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Van Morrison, Midnight Oil, John Mayall, George, Crowded House and Elvis Costello. I find that my music interests are pretty cyclical -I'll get into a band or sound depending on what catches my attention. I'm always looking for new stuff to add to the collection so I don't get bored. I lost interest in metal in the late 90s, but got back into it a couple of years ago through hearing Detritus, Dream Theater, Narnia and Believer. I like to mix it up and keep it interesting!!

I like a couple metal bands. Mortification, Demon Hunter, Spoken, Showbread, Life In Your Way... I have about 10 metal cds total. I listen to a few of 'em quite often. Anywho, my main style of music is hard rock(East West, Disciple, Project 86, Red, etc.) and some acoustic/folk music(Caedmon's Call, Jars of Clay). I listen to some country-rock too(DecembeRadio is one of my favorite bands ever). Almost anything but rap(old East West).

*kneels* What is thy bidding? lol There are some metal bands that I just love, while others that sound similar almost disgust me. There's rarely a gray area for me and metal. I love it or hate it.
