Jesus, when He was on Earth, was both fully God and fully man. God cannot sin. Right?
Then Jesus could not sin. Were Satan's temptations meaningless then?

anybody can sin if they want to
God isn't forbidden from sinning--He puts Himself above it, overpowering it

Satan tempted Christ because he (unlike God) only has a sketchy idea at best at the future. But besides that I have no idea why, you'd think he'd have known more by then. Poor Lucy.

I'm not sure Dan. Christ WAS God in the flesh. Yes he was, but, he had to dub himself down a bit to be in human flesh, he was held to human standards, so he had the potential to sin, he just didnt.

I agree.
But what I got out of your post was that Christ was less than God, when he in fact WAS God.

I've been thinking about this some more.
"Can" seems to override "Can't" in the case of Jesus: 1. Man cannot forgive sins, but God can. 2. God cannot die, but man can.
Jesus could do both these things.
Therefore when Can and Can't clash, Can wins. Assuming God cannot sin, and man can, Jesus can too.

Wow, I had to read that over several times before I caught the meaning, but yes now I agree with you.
