WOW! I can't believe no one has posted here since the last thread exploded!!! Let's move on shall we? A little 'simple' perhaps, but I think this will be interesting nonetheless... What are your fave Bible stories and why? (I know that there are so many to choose from and many we love, but just think about the first one that comes to mind)... Personally I was really fascinated as a kid by Gideon. A man who gets an army to fight the enemy and God basically whittles it down to mere hundreds... In the end Gideon wins and his army does none of the fighting. It blew me away as a kid and I still love the story. It shows me how God takes what we have to offer and uses it HIS way! Your turn....

Job, because it did not matter at all what he went through he knew that he had a choice in following or disobeying God. And through everything god allowed to happen to him, he never once cracked under the pressure. He is the symbol of Perseverance to all when it comes to being 'just a mere mortal man' and nothing more.

The Book of Revalations. Our faith is simple and straight-forward (thank God), but I like the whole ominous and crytic nature of that book. And the promise of a new world to come.

As a kid.. i still am kinda... I loved all the storied involving Elisha/Elija (got them mixed up a lot).
Not sure what my favorite one is, but i was always amazed how there was a field strewn with bones, and God breathed on them, and up pops an army.
I've only got the new testament in my room. Although there are some nice stories in there, nothing quite as exciting as the old testament. I need to get myself some children's Bible story books, or comic. I remeber reading some amazing comics about Elija/Elisha.
