These are the latest lot of completed art works from my recent stay in hospital. There are one or two more, but they never got finished. This was the very first one I did this stay. I've decided to title it " Walking (away)". It is a chalk background, with the figure cut out of paper, and coloured with pencil. This was done the week after. In chalk again, but with black lines of charcoal used once the chalk had been set. This one is titled " Journey". From out of the dark forest we must find our way, then bury our dead, before moving on into the castle. " Crucified". Pure charcoal. That which is Christ-like within us will be crucified, only then can it rise up again. I read a phrase similar to that in the Clinic's chapel, and it stuck with me the rest of the day. More charcoal, slightly rushed this one, as I had a meeting half way through the therapy session. " Mausoleum". Gothic beauty on the outside, a resting place for the dead inside. There is a lot of serious emotional issues contained within those 4 pieces, but I'll spare you from that. Just take from them what you will, in light of what you know.
