This is the thread where you, the forum member, may present ideas and suggestions about things which we can do to further improve this fine forum, to us, the forum administrators. We will take them into consideration and either implement them, save them for later, or tell you where your ideas can go.

I think something to focus on wouldbe getting this place more well known. It's a cool place. Maybe posting stuff on myspace could help.

I think something to focus on wouldbe getting this place more well known. It's a cool place. Maybe posting stuff on myspace could help. Thats a good idea. A few more people would be nice. Before I joined up this forum was fairly active, as it was the home of a Christian Metal ezine. That has since stopped running and the forum has almost turned in to "The Perth Christian Metal Scene" forum, unlike the global forum it waa intended to be. Bringing it back into the global scene a bit more would be good, as not only would it bring some new ideas, opinions and friends to the board, but the bands which are hosted here would also get some more publicity. There is a group for this forum on FaceBook I made, but I'd not thought about a MySpace page before. Its possible to make groups on there, but they are rarely used, so creating a page might be the better idea. That way we could upload a song from each band and provide news about what is going on in the forum. Was that sort of what you had in mind Winnow? I might look into that early next year. If anyone else wants to help out, gimme a shout.

But I guess having its own myspace page wouldn't hurt Do you want it more aimed at the christian scene?

Do you want it more aimed at the christian scene? That occurred to me last night. I'll have to check with Dan (the forums owner) and get him to explain exactly what he intended when he created this forum. I don't want to take it in the wrong direction by accident. Although most of the people here are Christian, as are the bands, we are far from adverse to have non-christians here. Some of the most indepth discussions we've had here have been started by non-christian members. Also, as a few of the bands here are evangelical by nature rather than just for entertainment, focusing solely on a Christian audience would be almost a waste of time. It will need some more discussion with Dan and Todd before we do anything too drastic, but I'm thinking of two scenarios now. 1) Build up a stronger Christian base first, and then try and become more well known in the secular world. This way we might be able to lure ( ) in new members by the promise of an active forum with plenty of interesting discussion. The problem with that though, is that a larger forum full of Christians would be rather intimidating, and might put people off from joining in. 2) At the moment the forum is at a size where most people know each other fairly well and are able to get along with out any problems. The atmosphere here is one of laid back friendship, where anyone can talk about what ever they want (within the rules) and not fear any sort of judgment from other members. I know I feel that is the case, and I hope everyone else does too, especially the two non-christian members who drop by every now and then. This non-threatening atmosphere might not be enough to entice many new members, but those that do join up, will not be leaving in a huff. Those are my thoughts at moment anyway.

Yeh...good thoughts man. Maybe for now it would be better to just let people know who you have actual contact with. I really dig the laid backness of this forum too.

it's a good idea i think, but if us bands would promote the forums then naturally our fans would gravitate here..and it seems GF and SF are leading the pack in forum fans and friends

A few people mistake this as being a Perth forum ..... almost too close to the truth. I have had an idea of asking the odd forumless band if they would like to come and live here. I would probably have to run that past Dan first though.

it is a good idea to have a few fourmless bands here I think. But again, yeah, something we need to run by Dan, after all it's his board
