Hey dudes. Just to let you know, Scourged Flesh will be performing a gig at Clarkson Youth Centre on Sunday December 3rd. I think it starts at 6pm and goes to about 8.30pm. I will keep ya informed of any more details as they come along. There will be 3 bands playing. Grave Forsaken will be headlining the show but there will be 2 opening bands. In Process is the first band but there's a twist. Both Todd and I(Scourged Flesh) will be the band for In Process on the night but Kalle(of In Process) will be doing the vocals. We will be playing 2 of In Process's songs for the night so we are madly rehearsing at the moment. In Process is a Christian Metal band from Finland. Kalle the vocalist is here with his mate Illka. Both are from Finland and are here for studies. They go back to Finland in December so the gig is like a going away party for them. Kalle is organising the gig. Both the guys are champions so it would be great if you could all make the effort to come along and make it a great night for them. Don't know if this is too confusing for you? Hope not.lol Keep ya up to date with any more news when I find out. If you could all spread the word about the gig being on Sunday 3rd december at night that would be great because that date is booked in. Look forward to seeing ya at the gig. God Bless- dave.

Hope this clears it up for ya? Look forward to catching up again mate.

So its only 10 songs for a 2 and a half hour night?
Is it like a church service too?

Clarkson...thats not too far away. The only problem is, all (yes, all) my mates who I would consider a possibility to come with me are gonna be away hiking the cape to cape trail (Cape naturaliste to some other cape nearby) during that time Regardless, I am still extremely tempted...I could bring my copies of BTRoB and Released from Damnation along to get autographed, then in 5-10 years time when they are both collectors items I can sell them on eBay at a hugely inflated price!!!!..er, I mean, I can treasure them forever...

The only problem Zooba is that copies of our album that aren't signed are more valuable that copies that are signed! my advice, keep us away from it.
What a great night though - 3 Christian metal bands, one of them all the way from Finland. It doesn't get any better than this in Perth (except when Mort came, but that was the best gig ever).

Looking forward to it, and hopefully capturing it on SD-Card...
P.S. I'm writing this from FF 2.0 running on Ubuntu 6.10 (I've finally moved over from Mandriva, end of an era 1999-2006)

Hey iron. As for 10 songs in 2 and a half hours I don't know mate? I am not organising the gig anymore. I was organising a gig at this Clarkson Youth Centre but someone else has taken on that responsibilty. I am just telling you what I have been told. We were told that we can only play 4 songs. Maybe GF are playing more but I was told that In Process(2 songs) SF(4 songs) and GF(4 songs). I will let you know if anything changes but I don't know enough about it yet. i would like to play more songs without a doubt but I think because of set-up time and other things we can't? Because GF are last maybe they will end doing more songs? Who knows but should be good night anyways.

I don't think we will do the camera any service aceman.haha!! I am looking forward to finally getting out there and doing a gig with our good mates Grave Forsaken. it's been a honour meeting the dudes from Finland and hanging out with them. The songs for In Process are really good. I just hope Scourged Flesh play them good enough for Kalle their vocalist. He's a champion. Real honour to play a couple of his songs for the night. Sorry if I sounded a bit short in the other post? I have a cold at the moment so am a bit cranky.hahah!! I am still a bit in the dark about the whole gig myself but all I know is that we have to rock up and play some Jesus Metal on the 3rd December. BUYAH!!!! Looking forward to it no matter how many songs we play. In fact, i would be stoked if we could play 1 of our songs. Of course I wish we could play 10 as well but the quantity doesn't matter as long as people are getting the message of Christ. Also, we are actually only playing 1 of the songs from the album. We will be playing 3 of our new songs on the night because they are more fresh in our mind and we haven't rehearsed any of the songs of the album since recording them. We only have 3 more weeks till the gig so when I am feeling better will have to get in some serious rehearsal time. Maybe our good mate James "Mosher" Clarke could make a DVD of the night for you Aceman? If not maybe some other time hey

To God be the Glory I say!!!!! I hope many people come to know Jesus at this gig. there should be many Non-Christians there because promo is being done at the local schools. I certainly hope it's a top night. With Grave Forsaken playing, I know it will be

Just to confirm, on Wednesday we were told the sets haven't changed - In Process 2, Scourged Flesh 4, Grave Forsaken 4. I think our set will mostly be album stuff; hopefully we'll have something new for ya. We rehearsed all the album stuff like mad for 'Stump, so our newer material hasn't been touched for a while and is a bit rusty...

No probs mate. We are actually the opposite.haha. We haven't rehearsed any of our material off the album yet. Actually, we played In The Image Of God once and that's it. That will be the only song we are doing from the album at the gig. We have 3 other new songs to play. 1 of them isn't even completed yet.hahahahaha. We have to just trust that God will help us with it!! Only 3 weeks to go and we will be playing a song we haven't even finished writing yet. lol

It doesn't really matter what you play Dave. Being you 3rd gig, no one has heard many of your songs live yet. Its all going to sound new to us

Just outta curiousity, does In Process have a myspace page or some samples we could check out before the show? If not, could you at least tell us what sort of metal they play (death, thrash, etc) and maybe name some similar bands so that we can get an idea of what their sound is? Ta.

They sound deathy. Not terribly technical though.

I reckon it's a death metal style with clean and simple power-rock beats. Very professional and great listening. Good for moshing. So you all better be moshing from minute one until the end!!!
