Over summer I got myself a Rhapsody album, and on the plastic sleeve (there were about three layers i had to get through to get at the precious disc) there was a stickerhailing them as Symphonic Epic Power Metal. On another album, they were refered to as Hollywood Metal and Film Score Metal. Other times its just simply refered to as Power Metal. Some sources just call it a joke though If you've had the good fortune to hear any of their stuff, the names are all strangly fitting. Soaring vocal, symphonic elements, huge chiors, classical music influences, powerful speed metal and even some narration all put together to tell a story of epic proportions. Its just an odd thing to try and classify simply, sounds alright though, so i don't question it

9-Metalcore- A mixture of hardcore and metal, usually metalcore bands use metal riffs and tunings but still stick to their tried and true, verse, chorus, verse, breakdown, chorus, formula. Thanks, I always wondered why some bands that sound exactly like death metal have been classified as metalcore
